Carla Jean Medovich

WARREN - Carla Jean (Porter) Medovich, 69, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Sunday November 6, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic of a heart ailment.

She was born in Warren on June 4, 1947 the daughter of Carl and Juanita (Clemens) Porter. She was a 1965 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and retired in the late 1980's after working over twenty years as a wire harness taper at Packard Electric Company.

She was a devoted member of the Apostolic Bible Church and enjoyed collecting Longaberger Baskets, crafts, antiques, visiting craft shows and church activities. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Carla is survived by a daughter, Andrea (Medovich) Lark of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; son, Jeromy Medovich and Nickole Paulsey of Warren; six grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Albert) Scoccia of Parish, Florida; brother, Larry A. (Cyndi) Porter of Rootstown and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Anthony Medovich whom she married in September of 1971 and who died in 1973; son, Jason Carl Medovich; son in law James David Lark Jr.

Calling Hours will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Apostolic Bible Church 1623 West Park Avenue, Niles. The Funeral will be Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Pastor David Murphy will officiate. Burial will be at Niles City Cemetery.
