Charlotte Rankin Obituary
NILES - Charlotte L. Rankin, 91, passed away peacefully at 12:25am, Saturday October 15, 2016 at the residence. Charlotte was born in Niles, Ohio on February 26, 1925 the daughter of Arthur and Letha (Myers) Williams and lived here all her life.
Charlotte graduated from Niles McKinley High School, and attended Kent State University. She was a an elementary school teacher for the Niles City School System, a member of the Niles First United Methodist Church, Ida McKinley Chapter Order of the Eastern Star where she served as a Past Worthy Matron, enjoyed traveling and baking. For many years she did book reviews and collected ink pens and pencils and explained their construction to elementary school children. Charlotte enjoyed family activities and especially being with her five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. Rankin whom she married on April 19, 1945 and he died November 7, 1998.
Charlotte is survived by two daughters, Linda and Phil Loveless of Arlington, Susan and Michael DelAguaro of Knoxville, sister, Carol Glunt of Niles, grandchildren Kevin Loveless, Kirk and Susan Loveless, Jennifer and John Hill all of Texas, Michael K. and Laciena DelAguaro, Debbie and Todd Stiles of Tennessee. great grandchildren Cameron, Ashley, Katelyn, Gavin, Madison, Maisie, Ryan, Braxton and Kylee.
Funeral services will be held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paula Marbury officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday a half hour before services. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
The family extends a special Thank You to her many faithful and devoted group of care givers, and request contributions be made the the Niles First United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Valley.
