Doris Holsinger Obituary
ASHTABULA - Doris Arlene Holsinger, 84, passed away peacefully at 4:15 a.m. on Monday November 23, 2015 at her daughter's home in Ashtabula following a brief illness and under the compassionate care of hospice.
She was born in Niles on January 25, 1931 the daughter of Harry Hermenet and Mary Marie (Cessna) Greenwood and was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She lived in Niles for most of her life and enjoyed craft shows, reading and spending time with her family.
Doris is survived by three daughters, Barbara Holsinger of Niles, Terry Holsinger of Ashtabula, Tammy Hawn of Ashtabula; a sister, Brenda (Terry) Ceplecci of Hubbard, whom she raised from the age of 7; three grandchildren, Charles Hawn II, Justin (Marley) Hawn, Andrea (Sean) Ceplecci Hall; one great grandson, Ryker Hawn; a sister, Janet Hogan of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Holsinger whom she married on September 24, 1960 and who passed away on February 12, 1996; brother, Harry Hermenet and brother-in-law, Michael Hogan Sr.
There will be no calling hours. A private funeral for the family will be Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Rev. Sean Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004 www.hospicewr.org.
