Edna Aho Obituary

MCDONALD - Edna L. Aho, 84, passed away peacefully at 1:15pm, Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Hospice House, Poland following a short illness. Edna was born in Struthers, Ohio on August 8, 1930 the daughter of John and Clara Louise (Buress) Bodnark and has lived in this area all her life.

Edna was a high school graduate, attended and volunteered for the Woodland Park United Methodist Church of McDonald, a office volunteer for the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts. She was also a special caregiver to many patients that suffered with Multiple Sclerosis.

Edna is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Carl) Macali of Niles, Jean (Gary) Miller of Austintown, a son, Martin (Nancy) Aho of Monroe Falls, five grandchildren Carla Macali of Raleigh, NC., Matthew Macali of Niles, Mark (Therese) Macali of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Eric and Ryan Aho both of Monroe Falls, two great grandchildren Luke and Gabriel Macali, a brother, John (Loretta) Bodnark of Poland, a sister, Carol (Thomas) Sapienza of Greenville, Pa.

She was preceded in death in 1966 by her husband Albert Aho whom she married in 1946, a son, Albert Aho, six sisters, Louise Kihm, Thelma Culver, Betty Baugh, Emily Heavern, Jean Cooke, Mary Neiheisel, and a brother William Bodnark.

At her request there are no calling hours and a memorial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
