Harold Kover Obituary

MINERAL RIDGE - Harold Franklin Kover, 68, passed away at 5:50 pm on Monday July 14, 2014 at the University Hospital, Cleveland following a two year illness.

He was born in Warren on December 9, 1945 the son of Henry T. and Mary Louise (Jeswald) Kover and was raised by his grandparents Frank and Philomena Jeswald in Niles.

A graduate of Niles McKinley High School, he honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2000 after working 36 years as a foreman at Delphi Packard Electric. He also delivered produce for American Farms Produce and drove patients for Evergreen Healthcare. He served as a volunteer fireman for the McKinley Heights Fire Department. He loved fishing and enjoyed gardening, traveling, making wine and was an excellent home chef.

Harold is survived by his wife Sandy (Wolfe) Kover whom he married on June 1, 1985; daughter, Megan Cina of Boardman; two sons, Christopher Kover of Boardman, Todd (Trish Ann) Kover of Champion; step-daughter, Heather Kulon of Girard; eight grandchildren, Caitlin Cina, Courtney Cina, Jon Cina, Justin Cina, Shyann Kover, Ethan Kover, Kylie Kulon, Karley Breckner; brother, Henry "Hank" (Patty) Kover of Niles; three sisters, Valarie (Charles) Wright of Niles, Cynthia (Glenn) Ford of Niles, MaryBeth (Gary) Turner of Canton; half-brother, Thomas (Joanna) Kover of Long Beach, California.

Calling Hours will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Service of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski of St. Stephen Church will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
