Honorald Houston Obituary

NILES - Honorald Houston Sr., 84, passed away at 12:37 p.m. on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center following a long illness.

He was born in Richmond, Virginia on February 1, 1932 the son of William and Inez (Greene) Hueston. He was known by many as "Mr. H" or "Nuke" He was a graduate of Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Business Degree and attended First Church (United Methodist) of Warren with his wife.

He played trumpet for a Farrell, Pennsylvania band and traveled throughout the area playing at various venues. He was the proprietor of a clothing store in Farrell and worked as a laborer at Sharon Steel for 17 years. He was also the owner of the Plantation Nuts and Chocolate Candy Shop at the Truck World Mall in Hubbard for 25 years and the owner of the Plane View Restaurant at the Youngstown Municipal Airport in Vienna for 10 years. He retired in 1994 after 30 plus years in Management for the JC Penney Company.

He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed all sports and dancing.

Honorald is survived by his wife Roberta (Morris) Houston whom he married on September 10, 1983; three sons, Honorald (Ellen) Houston Jr. of Farrell, Pennsylvania, Clinton Houston of Youngstown, Carmen Houston of Cleveland; two step-sons, Chester Bednar of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brett Bednar of Niles; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anne Hueston of Farrell, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Juan Houston; sister, Odessa Houston-Smith and brother, Willie Hueston.

Calling Hours will be Friday, June 17, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
