NILES - June Louise Patton, 84, passed away peacefully at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
June was born in Niles on April 12, 1930 the daughter of George and Marguerite E. (Pugh) Pirigyi Sr. and has lived in Niles and Vienna communities all her life.
She retired in 1988 as a press operator with 25 years of service at Packard Electric Company. She was a member of the Niles First Baptist Church and the TOP 10 club since 1958. A Cleveland Indians fan, she raised greyhound dogs with her husband and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling and spending time with her family.
June is survived by a daughter Bonnie (Fred) Daras of Vienna; two sons, George Patton of Niles, Clyde Patton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister Bonnie Comeau of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer J. "Jack" Patton whom she married on January 28, 1950 and who died on May 16, 1997 and Henry Melnik; two great-grandchildren; two brothers Raymond Pirigyi and George Pirigyi Jr.
The Funeral will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where friends may call one hour before the service. Pastor David Burman will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
