MINERAL RIDGE - Donis Virginia Clewes, 94, of 3379 Main Street and formerly of Sayers Avenue, Niles, passed away at 11:15 pm on Thursday December 17, 2009 at the Briarfield at the Ridge Nursing Home following a short illness.
She was born in Hundred, West Virginia on June 19, 1915 to Leroy Clyde and Celia (Himelrick) Lemley and lived in this community all her life. She loved her cats and taking care of them.
Donis is survived by a nephew, Harold Lemley of Niles; great nephew, Ricky (Denise) Lemley of Mineral Ridge; great niece, Lynda (Richard) Williams of Severna Park, MD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ford Clewes whom she married in 1938 and who passed away on June 1, 1993; a sister, Mildred Lemley Dent, two brothers, Carl Lemley and Edgar Lemley.
The Funeral will be Monday, December 21, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Southern Care Hospice Chaplain Elly Krokenberger will officiate. Burial will be at Niles City Cemetery
