WARREN - Ernest Lee Dozier Jr., 46, of Warren, passed away on Sunday morning February 28, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born in Tacoma, Washington on September 3, 1963 to Ernest Lee and Peggy (Moore) Dozier.
A 1982 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and an Army veteran, Ernest worked for 10 years at Kraft Maid. He was known for his love of running. An avid runner he participated in many marathons. He enjoyed nascar and sports , especially football and the Cleveland Browns.
He was a devoted and loving family man who always looked for the positive things in life. His love and kindness touched everyone he met and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Lisa D. (Lanham) Dozier whom he married on August 15, 1996; six children, Tamatha, Ernest, Amanda Dozier of Olathe, Kansas; Shane, Desiree, Austin Dozier at home; four grandchildren of Kansas; parents, Ernest and Peggy Dozier of Niles; sister, Robin (John) of Niles; brother, Bruce of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ernest and Catherine Dozier formerly of West Virginia and Joe and Donnie Moore formerly of Ohio.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the soldiers section at Niles City Cemetery.
