NILES - Faith V. Williams, 93, of Niles, passed away at 1:30 pm on Saturday February 27, 2010 at the Grace Woods Village Senior Living following an extended illness.
She was born in Niles, Ohio on December 30, 1916 to Ernest and Edith (Uncles) Barnett and resided all her life in this community.
Faith retired in 1981 after working 27 years as a clerk and cashier in the water, light and sewer department for the City of Niles. She also worked for JRS Catering and decorated the windows at the Home Federal Savings and Loan Bank. She was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Niles Eastern Star where she was a Worthy Matron and the Ferndale Rebekah Lodge where she was a Noble Grand.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Lee (William) Wiencek of Niles; son, Carl E. Williams of Banning, CA; four grandchildren, Kenneth (Louise) Wiencek, Michael (Julie) Wiencek, Michele (John) Thomas, Craig Wiencek; seven great grandchildren, William Wiencek, Carl Wiencek, Michael Wiencek, Nicole Wiencek, Matthew Wiencek, Tommy Thomas, Lewis Walters; two sisters, Carol (John) Camodeca of Mineral Ridge, Edith (Joseph) Stabile of Mineral Ridge; special friend, Vicki Doutt of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl O. Williams whom she married on September 28, 1934 and who passed away on June 11, 1988 and a brother, Samuel Barnett.
The Funeral will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 3:30pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call from 1 to 3:30 pm. Burial will be Thursday morning at Niles City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Niles.
