NILES - John Henry Ohl,  60, of 601 Mason Street died at 11:38pm,  Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at his residence.  He was born in Warren, Ohio on December 6, 1949 to William and Lucretia (Banks) Ohl and lived in Trumbull County all his life.

He was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, member of Saint Stephen's Church, and a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the 101st Airbourne division.He was employed for 14 years as a packer for the Ohio Lamp Plant of the General Electric Company and retired in 1990. John was an avid sports fan especially the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers, he also enjoyed the 1960s music.
 
Besides his mother Lucretia Ohl of Youngstown,  he is survived by wife, Ruth (Strohmeyer) Ohl whom he married December 3, 1977, one  daughter, Heather Ohl, three  grandchildren, Kylie Ohl, Austin Ohl and Michael Ohl all of Youngstown,friend Dale Brown with whom he lived, two brothers, Glenn (Sherry) Ohl and Terry (Linda) Ohl both of Mineral Ridge, three  sisters, Patty (Dana) Gunnoe of Ravenna, Kathy Ohl of Warren, and Janice (Jim) Koren of Mineral Ridge,  several neices and nephews.
 
Friends may call at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles, Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 5 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Saint Stephen;s Church, Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:00am with the Rev. Thomas Kraszewski officiating. Burial will follow in Kerr Cemetery.

    Ruth,Heather, Kylie and children I am so sorry to hear the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.. I am so sorry that I am not able to attend calling ours but just know we are thinking of you all in this time of need.. We should get together sometime and maybe do lunch or something.. That is when you are ready to do that.. Heather I would love to see you and the children as well.. We seem to run into Mom and Kylie..Cheyanne would like to get to know Kylie a little..
