NILES - Joseph M. Zoccali,  79, of Niles passed away at 6:50pm, on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the St. Joseph Health Center.

He was born in Girard, Ohio on August 12, 1930 to Consolato J. and Grace (Mortaro) Zoccali and lived in this community most of his life.
 
Joseph was a 1948 graduate of Girard High School and a member of St. Stephen Church.  He was the produce manager for the A. and P. Grocery Store for 33 years and from 1979 to 1985 was the owner and manager of the North Main Street Convenient Food Marts. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed his vegetable garden, playing chess and cards.
 
He is survived by daughter and two sons, Annmarie (Rick) Wilson and John Zoccali both of Niles, Joseph Zoccali of Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren, Darby and Mario Zoccali  both of Clearwater, FL, Bruce Clarke, Leslie Clarke and Patrick Wilson all of Niles.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life the former Anna Elizabeth "Nancy" Tecca whom he marrried June 11, 1960 and who passed away on December 10, 2003; an  infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Zoccali on July 8, 1962 and one brother, Anthony Zoccali on February 2, 1987.
 
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:00am at Saint Stephen Church. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant.  Burial will be in Saint Stephen Cemetery.
