Weathersfield Twsp. - Leah June Hall, 68, of 305 Edgewater Pines Drive, died suddenly at 8:29pm,  Monday, December 7, 2009 in the emergency room at the Forum Health-Trumbull Memorial Hospital from a heart ailment.
She was born in Kelleys Island, Ohio on October 30, 1941 to Rev. Hiram D. and Mary Elizabeth (Hart) Kern and lived in this area all her life.
 
Leah was 1959 Graduate of Liberty Township High School, a member of the Pleasant Valley Church, an avid reader, enjoyed doing scrapbooking and was a member of the Women of Faith.
 
She is survived by a brother, Charles "Chuck" ( Jane ) Kern of Saint Charles, Mo.; three step daughters, Lynda (Thomas) Logan of Lordstown,  Mary Jo (Dan) Calhoun and Donna Leann Hall both of Warren; one step-son, Clyde Allen Hall of Warren; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two neices, Becky(Tim) Kern-Ryan of Ferguson, Mo., Jenny (Ryan) Canda of Overland, Mo.; three great-neices Avi, Coryn and Lissie and one great nephew Ethan. 
 
Besides her parents, Leah was preceded in dath by her husband Clyde C. Hall whom she married February 27, 1982 and who died January 15, 1998 and her son John Russell "Jack" Varley who died  November 19, 1987.
 
Funeral services will be held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00am with the Rev. Frank Brainard officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Cortland.

    I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Leah. She was my mom's dearest friend and I have always felt my mom's presence in her. She was like a second mom to me. I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
