HOWLAND - Louis Alexander Krok, 90, passed away peacefully at 9:45 am on Saturday March 6, 2010 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Humeniuk.

He was born in Niles, Ohio on December 29, 1919 to Joseph and Theresa (Pantesz) Krok and lived in the Niles community most of his life.
 
Louis retired in 1981 after working 23 years as a crainman for Warren Republic Steel Company.  He was a member of St. Stephen Church, AARP, National Clock Association and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.  He loved and enjoyed repairing antique clocks for many years.
 
He is survived by two daughters, Karen (John) Humeniuk, Jenice Muenster both of Howland; son, Thomas (Kathy) Krok of Niles; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Gay (Margaret) Krok of Niles, Edward (Delores) Krok of Mineral Ridge.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. (Leslie) Krok whom he married on October 11, 1941 and who passed away on August 14, 2003; three brothers, Joseph Krok, John Krok, David Krok.
 
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Church.  Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant.  Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
 
Memorial Contributions may be made to MVI Hospice.
