WARREN - Lula Mae Whitt, 87, of 3310 Elm Road NE and a resident of Trumbull county, Niles and Mineral Ridge, died at 12:32am, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Gillette Nursing Home following an extended illness.
She was born in Cantrall, Illinois on February 14, 1922 to Pete and Lottie Marie (Tomlin) Evans.
Lula Mae was a housewife and of the Wesleyan Methodist faith and graduated from Mineral Ridge High School.
She married Homer Whitt on June 25, 1941 and he died February 16, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Danny Ray Whitt and a daughter Farren Charlotte Whitt, a sister Irene Ellis and a brother Walter Karnes.
She is survived by two sons, Homer Lee Whitt of Fulton, Kentucky and David Whitt of Bristolville, two sisters, Betty Guidos of Mineral Ridge and Dorothy Evans of Columbiana, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Kerr Cemetery on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 11:00am. At her request there are no calling hours..
