I'm sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I grew up on Mines Rd. and "Ronny" was a big part of a great childhood. I remember the ball games, riding Star the pony, the pie fights ,the gum throw, shooting baskets ect... Ronny always let us hang around the shop doing odd jobs for sweat shirts and t-shirts. He made every kid in the neighborhood welcome and I'll never forget all the great times we had with him. He was a great guy !!! I'll remember him with great affection and fondness !!

To the Elwood family, I am sorry to learn of your loss. I remember Ron and your family as one of my customers on my paper route in the mid '70s, as well as doing a few odd jobs for him like cutting the grass from time to time. I also remember some of those fun times playing ball on Mines Rd. - I remember him as a good fun guy then, and it seems that he continued to be known for that throughout his life. I'm sure he will be missed - what a great man!

Dear Patty, My dad, Bob Smeltzer worked with Ron at Cox Litho for a quite a while. Didn't they open "Custard's Last Stand" together back when there wasn't much on that section of 422 except the old golf course? I remember when Ron quit at Cox Litho and went into business for himself with the iron-on t-shirts. Dad is in Arizona for the winter months, but I will be sure to let him know of Ron's passing. I will always remember Ron as a bright spot from my youth. I know God will comfort you and your family in this difficult time. My prayers are with you. Tom Smeltzer
