Bazetta Township - Bonita Marie "Bonnie" Peterson Marchionte, 35, passed away on Saturday afternoon March 21, 2015 at her residence.
Little Bonnie was born in Youngstown on August 27, 1979 the daughter of Melvin "Pete" and Bonita "Bonnie" (Raniolo) Peterson. She was a 1998 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. For the past ten years, Bonnie proudly served as the secretary to Mayor Infante in the City of Niles. She was active in the City of Niles Relay for Life and organized the Niles City Fourth of July Celebration and Parade. She was known for her contagious smile, bubbly attitude and enjoyed competitive running, shopping for purses and shoes and her dog, Nino and cats.
Bonnie loved her family and friends and is survived by a son and the joy of her life, Nicola Joseph Marchionte of Niles; mother, Bonnie Peterson of Niles; father, Pete Peterson of East Palestine; brother, David (Heidi) Peterson of Howland; two nephews, Frankie and Jacob Peterson of Howland; former husband, Nicholas G. Marchionte of Niles. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Garasic of The Movement will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a fund established for her son, Nicola.
