Clarence Beck Obituary

HOWLAND - Clarence M. Beck, 88, died at 4:08 pm on Thursday March 13, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on July 14, 1925 the son of William and Mary (Mitchell) Beck.

A 1943 graduate of Sharon High School, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown College. He honorably served in the United States Air Force. After 21 years, he retired in July 1990 as an accountant at Alcan Aluminum. He was a member of the Niles First United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in New Castle. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians Fan.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Doris E. "Dory" (Glunt) Beck whom he married on November 10, 1956; two sons, Brian Beck of Warren, Greg (Amy) Beck of Canfield; daughter, Amy (Tim) O'Brien of Austintown; eight grandchildren, Shane O'Brien, Casey O'Brien, Erin O'Brien, Katie O'Brien, Amber Beck, Mitchell Beck, Thomas Beck, Lyndsey Sheely.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Loch and three brothers, Bruce Beck, George Beck, William Beck.

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 3 to 5 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Niles First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
