Elizabeth Fortune

WARREN - Elizabeth Fortune, 92, died at 11:22 pm on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at the Signature Health Care Nursing Home following an extended illness.

She was born in Niles on August 17, 1922 the daughter of John and Helen (Phillips) Koncsol and lived most of her life in the Niles community.

She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and retired in 1987 after working 18 years in the Dietary Department at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Elizabeth is survived by three sons, Albert H. Fortune Jr. of Niles, David (Debra) Fortune of McDonald, Patrick (Tami) Fortune of McDonald; two daughters, Betty Ann (George) Petrilla of Niles, Kathy (Frank) Sudol of McDonald; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren, four brothers, Joseph Koncsol of Florida, William Koncsol of Niles, Michael Koncsol of Twinsburg, Thomas Koncsol of Niles; sister, Margaret Sharbon of Niles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harold Fortune Sr. whom she married on January 9, 1943 and who died on January 5, 1991; son, Terry Fortune; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, three brothers, Andrew Koncsol, John Koncsol, Steven Koncsol and a sister, Helen Tarr.

The funeral will be Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
