Evelyn Blatchford Obituary
NILES - Evelyn M. Blatchford, 89, died at 3:28 pm on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Niles on February 24, 1925 the daughter of William and Grace (McNeilly) James and lived in this community her entire life.
She attended Niles McKinley High School and was a member of the Niles First Presbyterian Church. For many years she was a sales clerk at Bruce's Woman's Fashion in Downtown Niles. She cherished and loved all activities with her children and grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by three sons, Thomas William "Bill" (Fran) Blatchford of Canfield, Edwin H. (Brenda) Blatchford of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, James W. (Sonja) Blatchford of Bowling Green, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Hillman Blatchford whom she married on October 1, 1942 and who died on January 12, 1998; two brothers, William James and Thomas James and a great grandson, Jacob Soley.
Calling Hours will be Friday, March 7, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm and Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
