George Petrilla Obituary
NILES - George Leland Petrilla, 74, passed away peacefully at 11:45 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Signature Health Care, Warren following a long illness.
George was born in Apollo, Pennsylvania on February 3, 1941 the son of George W. and Georgia Mae (Hilty) Petrilla Sr. He came to this area many years ago and was last employed as a laborer for Albee Homes of Niles. George enjoyed gardening and yard work, listening to music and singing. He cherished family activities, picnics and eating home made dishes.
George is survived by his wife, Betty Ann (Fortune) Petrilla; three daughters and a son, Brenda (Dennis) Dean of McDonald, James (Michele) Petrilla of Niles, Debbie (Mark) Holmes of Niles, Carolyn (Ron) Bowers of Austintown; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, David (Joyce) Petrilla of Niles, John (Cindy) Petrilla of Niles, Donald (Ann) Petrilla of McDonald; and a sister, Nancy (Bill) Koncsol of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, George Petrilla, Ronnie Petrilla; two brothers, Terry Petrilla, Robert Lee Petrilla and a sister, Linda Foster.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. At his request, services will be private. The family invites everyone to join them at the McKinley Heights Fire Station Hall immediately following calling hours for fellowship and refreshments.
The family would like to thank the staff at Signature Health Care for their excellent and compassionate care over the past year.
