Harry Gene Zell

Harry Gene Zell , 68, passed away at 7:48 p.m. on Tuesday August 27, 2024 at the St. Joseph Health Center Emergency Room following a short illness. He was born in Warren, Ohio on April 2, 1956 the son of Charles Leroy and Janet Ruth (Billock) Zell and lived in this community his entire life.

He retired in 2008 after working many years for Quality Heating and Cooling. He enjoyed caring for dogs, especially his faithful Sugar Bear. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fans, he also enjoyed watching wrestling, feeding the birds and squirrels. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and their activities.

Harry is survived by his wife Phylinda Diane (Juillerat) Zell whom he married on November 15, 1980; three sons, Jay Edward (Jacqueline) Zell of Marion, Raymond D. Zell of Niles, Thomas Juillerat of Warren; seven grandchildren; his beloved granddaughters Caitlin, Cierra, Peyton and grandsons, Asher, JJ, Kodan, Mahki; two brothers, Charles Zell of Warren, John (Amy) Zell of Brookfield; three sisters, Ruth Warner of Palmyra, Wisconsin, Yvonne Thompson of Warren, Barbara Soles of Warren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Louis B. Zell; grandson, Jayden Louis Zell; two brothers, Robert A. Zell, Harold Zell and a sister, Mary Louise Cox.

Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Friday August 30, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at noon with the Rev. Eric Diehl officiating. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
