Jack Norman Obituary

NILES - Jack L. Norman, 77, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 22, 2015 at the St. Joseph Health Center of a heart ailment.

He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on June 10, 1938 the son of Everett and Nellie (Stephens) Norman and moved to this area in 1955.

Jack honorably served in the United States Army and for over twenty years in the National Guard. He retired in August of 1995 as a tow truck driver for Liberty Towing. He also worked at Pascarelli Towing, Trumbull Manor Apartments, Days Inn and Industrial Steel Company in Youngstown. He was a member and trustee of the Evansville Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and working on cars.

Jack was a kind and good hearted man and will be deeply missed by those who survive, his wife, Joanne (Chiody) Jordan whom he married on August 20, 2015; sons, Jeff L. Norman, Geary Phipps of Lawrenceville, Georgia; daughters, Alice M. Norman, Debbie Murry of Niles, Dianna (Jerome) Rycek of Youngstown, Cynthia "Sue" (Dennis) Wood of Warren; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three step-children, Sheila (Mark) Crowder of Louisville, Kentucky, Michael (Glenna) Jordan of Niles, Deanna Jordan-DiFranco of Broadview Heights; 10 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; sister, Mamie Danks of Columbiana; three brothers, Robert Norman of Little Hocking, Michael Norman of Coolville, Vernon Norman of Gattlin, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth G. "Sue" (Long) Norman who died on December 18, 2005; son, Philip Bloom; daughter, Linda Norman; a great granddaughter and a sister Frances Marie Norman.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday October 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Richard Mospens will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
