Jeannette C. Plink

AUSTINTOWN - Jeannette C. Plink, 79, passed away peacefully at 7:20 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living. Jeannette was born in Youngstown, Ohio on August 1, 1937 the daughter of Stephen and Josephine (Sikora) Setnick. Jeannette was a cosmetologist and for many years she was a teaching assistant helping primary age school children in the Youngstown inner city schools. She was a long time member of the Highway Tabernacle Church and assisted with the vacation bible school program. Jeannette enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, crocheting, painting, sewing and refinishing furniture. She was an avid reader and dearly loved her grandchildren and little dog, Reggie. Jeannette is survived by two daughters, Paula (Stephen) Matthews of Mineral Ridge, Melanie (Scott) Matthews of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Stephen (Emily) Matthews, Lindsey Matthews, Ian Matthews; brother, Stephen (Debbie) Setnick of Girard and sister Sylvia Weber of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Attelio J. Plink who died October 3, 1997. The Funeral will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Youngstown with the Rev. Jonathan Moore officiating.
