WARREN - Joe Lee Comer, 58, passed peacefully on Thursday November 15, 2018 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Warren, Ohio on June 9, 1960 the son of Dennis Ray and Wanda Lee (Moore) Comer, Joe lived in this community all of his life. A graduate of Niles McKinley High School and Lordstown Vocational schools, he specialized in auto mechanics.
He attended the Apostolic Assembly Church of Mineral Ridge and was a truck driver for Bucci Brothers and Gennaro Pavers. Known as an independent man who always did things "his way." Joe was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, New England Patriots, NASCAR and drag racing. He was also an excellent horseshoe and putt-putt player and loved to shop at flea markets and garage sales.
Joe is survived by his mother, Wanda of Mineral Ridge; two brothers, Dennis (wife, PJ) of Tallahassee, Florida, David of Newton Falls; two sisters, Rebecca "Becky" of Warren, Donna of McDonald; two daughters, Tiffany and Amanda and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Monday, November 19, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Phillip Burbridge will officiate. Interment will follow at the Niles City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Joe's closest friends Rodney, Gene, Tina, Paul and Ronnie who never left his side during his last days; as well as Hospice of the Valley, especially Kim for her compassionate care.
