NILES - John Alan Lokash, 59, passed away on Saturday evening, September 27, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on January 8, 1955 the son of William G. and Wilma (Kaye) Lokash.
He was a 1974 graduate of Niles McKinley High School where he was the co-captain of the football team. He retired in November 2013 after working 36 years at General Motors, Lordstown Plant. For many years he was the scorekeeper for the Niles McKinley High School Boys Varsity Baseball Team. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing and traveling, and spending quality time with his granddaughter Madison.
John is survived by his wife Sharyn (Bradley) Lokash whom he married on October 29, 1977; two daughters, Christina Lokash, Ashley Lokash; granddaughter, Madison, brother, William (Kim) Lokash; sister, Gail (Dennis) Dermer, mother in law, Rose Bradley all of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Lokash and father in law, Bill Bradley.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
