Leslie Monos Obituary
NILES - Leslie R. Monos Jr. 91, died at 7:07 p.m., Thursday June 14, 2018 at his residence from a heart ailment.
Les was born in Niles, Ohio on October 31, 1926 the son of Leslie R. and Elizabeth (Bako) Monos Sr. and lived in this area all his life
He was a Niles McKinley High School graduate and honorably served in the United State Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He retired January 1, 1986 after 36 years as the Division Manager of the East Ohio Gas Company, Warren office. He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed golfing, reading John Grisham novels, and especially cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Les is survived by his wife, Marjorie L. (Hegel) Monos whom he married on June 15, 1949; son, Terry R. (Cheryl) Monos of Niles; daughter, Sherry L. (Barry) Cameron of Oak Island, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Lesley and Derek Pressell of Twinsburg, Natalie and Dave Fogata of Twinsburg; five great grandchildren, Bella, Mason, Hunter, Aubrey, Olivia; brother, William (Dolly) Monos of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Frank R. Monos who died December 15, 1979.
Private funeral services were held.
