GIRARD - Margaret Ann Teglas, 85, passed away peacefully at 9:00 pm, Saturday June 7, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Niles, Ohio on June 11, 1928 the daughter of Perl and Irene (Sakacs) Litwiler and lived here all her life.
Margaret Ann was a 1946 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed for a short time at the Niles Republic Steel plant. She was a very active member at the South Side Presbyterian Church and for many years was president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the church. She especially enjoyed church and family gatherings and organizing the sale of cabbage rolls, nut rolls and the church dinners.
She is survived by her husband John S. Teglas whom she married March 31, 1951; daughter, Debbie and her husband Dave Hawk; grandson, Daniel Hawk all of Green; four cousins, Robert Kovach of Indiana, Shirley Kline of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, Betty Wells of Baden, Pennsylvania, Keith Turner of Pinecrest North Carolina; special friends and caregivers, Pat and Ron Wolfe of Niles.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Noon at the funeral home. Rev. Ray Banner will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Trumbull County or Akron Childrens Hospital Orthopedic Department.
