MINERAL RIDGE - Patricia Irene Wolford, 86, died at 9:35 pm on Monday June 16, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Liberty.
She was born in Howland Township on December 27, 1927 the daughter of John J. and Minnie C. (McNaughton) Durig and lived her entire life in this area.
She was a 1946 graduate of Howland High School and a member of St. Mary's Church, Mineral Ridge, the church choir and the St. Mary's Womens Guild. Her life was devoted to caring for her family. She was known for her devotion to her faith and her kind and generous spirit.
Patricia is survived by twelve children, Kathy (Don) Garland of Liberty, Cindy Alvarez of Mineral Ridge, Debra Wolford and Dr. Michael Turkali of McDonald, Karen (Brian) Lengyel of Lordstown, Minnie Wolford of Mineral Ridge, Joseph (Patricia) Wolford of Idaho, Frank (Teri) Wolford of Salem, Donald Wolford of McDonald, David Wolford of Warren, Leonard (Sandra) Wolford of Columbus, John (Cheri) Wolford of McDonald, Paul (Becky) Wolford of McDonald; 26 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Anna Martin of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Charles Durig of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale A. Wolford whom she married on February 16, 1950 and who died on September 21, 2003; two sons, Jerald Wolford, Glen Wolford; five sisters, Rita Berry, Marie O'Connell, Rosemary McElhaney, Kathleen Minnick, an infant sister; five brothers, Joseph Durig, John Durig, Robert Durig, Adelbert Durig, Brother Daniel Durig.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church Mineral Ridge where family and friends may call one hour prior to the mass. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski and Rev. Richard Murphy will be the co-celebrants. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
