LORDSTOWN - Robert Joseph Trusz Sr., 80, passed away at 10:30 pm on Friday February 14, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on in Smokeless, Pennsylvania on January 8, 1934 the son of Michael and Margaret (Franklin) Trusz. His grandmother, Pauline Gabor helped raise him during his childhood years.
A United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, he retired as an electrician at WCI Steel. He enjoyed woodworking and was an all around handyman helping his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy L. (Burns) Trusz whom he married on August 2, 1958; four children, Sandra (Chester) Haywood of Orchard Park, New York, Robert J. (Audrey) Trusz Jr. of Lucasville, Robyn Jo (Danny) Mylar of McDonald, Renee J. (William) Hiner of Strongsville; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; half-brother, Joseph Trusz of Virginia and half-sister, Margie Brown of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kole Mylar and a brother, John Trusz.
Calling Hours will be Monday, February 17, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm and Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Msgr. John Zuraw will officiate. Burial will be in Lordstown Cemetery with military honors provided by the Newton Falls American Legion Honor Guard.
