Shirley Losch Obituary

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Shirley Ann Losch, 65, passed away peacefully at 9:25pm, Friday, August 29, 2014 at Hospice of Copley following an extended illness. Shirley was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 29, 1948, the daughter of Vincent Joseph and Shirley Jean (Kirsty) Fergus.

Shirley was a 1966 graduate of Ursuline High School. She earned a degree in nursing from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing, followed by a Bachelors of Science in Health Care Services from Empire State College in New York. She worked in the nursing profession as a registered nurse for many years in various fields, most recently in early childhood education.

Shirley was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She lived in Niles, Ohio, Elizabethtown, NY and Fort Myers, Fl. Shirley recently came back to the Ohio area to be close to her family and grandchildren whom she dearly loved and missed. She especially enjoyed the Adirondack mountains, Broadway musicals, the arts and Disney.

Shirley is survived by her parents of Naples, Florida, three daughters, Kimberly (Kristopher) King of Austintown, Colleen (Darrin) Mitchell and Maureen Losch both of Cuyahoga Falls, brother, Joseph Fergus of Youngstown, sister, Kathy Trina of Washington State, granddaughter, Kelsey King, grandson Kristopher King both of Austintown, two nephews Adam Trina, Christopher (Lindsay) Trina, niece Amy Trina.

Following Shirley's request, there will be a small memorial service at Lincoln Pond, New Russia, New York in the fall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local hospice chapter in memory of Shirley for the years that she was employed as a dedicated Hospice Nurse and caregiver.
