Alice L. Wise

BOARDMAN - Alice L. Wise, 88, died at 2:55 am Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center Belmont Avenue from complications following surgery. She was born in Niles, Ohio on August 23, 1925 the daughter of Julius and Ruth (Hall) Brasher. Alice was employed at Wean United for 25 years in the accounting department and retired in 1987. She was also employed for Republic Steel Company and the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Niles First Christian Church, Ida McKinley Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star of Niles, the Saxon Club of Youngstown and graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1943. She is survived by a granddaughter, Jennifer Daniel, three great grandchildren, daughter in law, Jayne Roth all of Niles; caregivers Carla Danes of Akron, Betty Jean Smith of Youngstown and Daiva Miller of Mineral Ridge. Alice was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Lewis whom she married September 19, 1946 and who died November 25, 1968; William Wise whom she married July 1973 and who died December 14, 1982; two sons Robert Lewis on January 1, 1980 and Christopher Lewis on April 17, 2002. Graveside services will be held at the Niles City Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Dr. Bernard Oakes officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, 126 West Park Ave, Niles, Ohio 44446.
