Archie G. Wilson

NILES - Archie Guy Wilson 84, passed away peacefully at 10:13 p.m. on Sunday April 7, 2019 at the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home. He was born in Warren, Ohio on October 5, 1934 a son of John and Margaret (Guy) Wilson. He honorably served in the United States Army and retired in 2005 after working fifty years for Fender's Drain Service. Archie was a member and usher at St. Stephen Church, Niles. He never complained about anything, loved football and was a diehard Cleveland Browns Fan. He enjoyed camping, watching television and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Archie is survived by his wife, Arlene M. (Varner) Wilson whom he married on June 4, 1960; son, David Wilson of Lemoore, California; four grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Hannah Hall, Matthew Wilson, Lauren Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori DeFalco; son, Gregory Wilson; siblings, William Wilson, Jack Wilson, Martha Dixon, Patty Walker. Calling Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where the St. Stephen Bereavement Ministry will have a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at St. Stephen Church. Rev. James Korda will be the celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in Niles City Cemetery.
