Barbara J. Mcnevin

NILES - Barbara J. McNevin 72, passed away unexpectedly at 12:22 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Carter County, Kentucky on October 15, 1948 the daughter of Ray and Pearl Johnson. Barbara was a stay at home mom and an avid reader of many books, with the Bible being her favorite. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She loved being with and around her whole family very much. Barbara is survived by two sons, David McNevin Jr. with whom she lived, Steve (Amy) McNevin of Delaware; two grandchildren, Morgan McNevin, Jonathan McNevin; brother, Philip (Violet) Johnson of Niles; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband David McNevin Sr. whom she married on January 17, 1965 and who died April 5, 2008; two brothers, Harold Johnson, LeRoy Johnson and a sister, Jewell Boggs. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced by the sons. Burial was in Kerr Cemetery.
