Betty J. Steim

NILES - Betty J. Steim, 86, died at 1:21 am on Saturday April 26, 2014 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1927 the daughter of Jennie Steffy and moved to the Niles area in 1952. A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Welca Womens Group at church and the Rebekah Lodge of Niles and Mineral Ridge. She was an avid reader. In her later years the companionship of her friend, Richard DeFabio, her neighbors, Todd and Jodi Markovich, and her caregivers brightened her days. She was preceded in death by her husband George F. Steim whom she married on July 10, 1948 and who died on February 6, 2012; her brother Earl Gibson. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Niles. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church 56 N. Chestnut Street, Niles, Ohio 44446.
