It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandyn A. Edelman, age 31, who gained his wings and entered eternal flight on Saturday June 13, 2026. As he crossed Heaven's gates, he was welcomed with open arms by his beloved grandfather, Charles “Charlie” B. Edelman, and his lifelong best friend, Jonathon “JT” Taylor.

Born on February 18, 1995 in Warren, Ohio, Brandyn was the cherished son of Kelly Edelman, a lifelong resident of Niles and a 2015 graduate of Niles McKinley High School.

He was known for his vibrant spirit, infectious smile, contagious laughter, and unforgettable sense of humor. Brandyn never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone around him laugh. Affectionately known as “Breed” and “Brandyn with a Y,” the title he treasured most was simply Dad.

Brandyn's greatest joy in life was his family, especially his two sons, Blake and Jayce, whom he loved beyond measure. He shared a special bond with Blake, and together they were known as the “dynamic duo.” Many Saturday nights were spent making memories at Cortland Roller Rink, where their laughter and love for skating filled the rink. Sundays often found Brandyn on a softball or baseball field in Austintown, where he pursued one of his greatest passions. To Brandyn, every ball field was truly a field of dreams.

Brandyn leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Kelly Edelman; his beloved sons, Blake and Jayce Edelman; his brothers, Jordan Edelman and Shawn Edelman; his grandmother, Shirley Edelman, with whom he made his home; his aunt and uncle, Angie and Roy Holloway; his uncle, Chuck Edelman; his cousins, Briana and Andrew Holloway; and, as Brandyn would proudly and jokingly say, his “best baby mama,” Alexandra Liberatore and Cassie Fleck as he called his big sister.

He also leaves behind many extended aunts, uncles, cousins, his cherished softball family, his family at Cortland Roller Rink, and a host of dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his kindness, humor, and friendship.

In addition to his grandfather, Charles B. Edelman, and best friend, Jonathon “JT” Taylor, Brandyn was preceded in death by a special friend who held a lasting place in his heart, Natalie Havel.

Though his time with us was far too short, Brandyn's impact will be felt forever. His laughter will echo in the memories of those who loved him, his spirit will live on through his sons, and his legacy will continue in every life he touched.

“Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near.”

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday June 18, 2026 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Brett Householder. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
