Burel Brown

September 5, 1944 — April 21, 2013

WEATHERSFIELD TOWNSHIP - Burel Brown, 68, passed away at 3:05 am Sunday April 21, 2013 at the St. Joseph Health Center. He was born in Warren on September 5, 1944 the son of Roy and Eva (Caudill) Brown.  He attended Mineral Ridge High School and was an United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  In the 1960's and 1970's he worked at Warren Slag then later worked at Electric Equipment Company in Youngstown. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and enjoyed working on old cars and camping.  He believed "Family is important" and cherished the time spent with family activities. Burel is survived by his wife, Betty A. (Crisp) Brown whom he married on August 28, 1969; three sisters, Lula Mae Barker of McDonald, Alice Jane Fultz of Niles, Carlen (Dave) Mascko of Niles.  He was also very close with all of his many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  The Funeral will be Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 10:30 am at the funeral home.  Pastor Wes Cluckey will officiate.  Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
