Carlen Sue Macsko , 73, passed away peacefully at 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the residence following an extended illness. Carlen was born in Lawton, Kentucky on December 6, 1950 the daughter of Roy and Eva (Caudill) Brown and came to the Niles area with her parents at a young age.
Carlen graduated from Austintown Fitch High School and was a homemaker most of her live. She cherished the family activities with her family and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carlen always watched sporting events, especially baseball and football.
Carlen is survived by her husband David M. Macsko whom she married February 5, 1983; and her four children; Eva Ibaachen of Revere, Massachusetts, Jennifer (Richard) Maines Jr. of Niles, Brian (Monica) Baker of Roanoke, Virginia, Michelle Lynn Macsko of Conway, South Carolina; sister, Alice "Jane" Fultz of Cleveland; seven-grandchildren, Emily, Carlie, Caroline, Dylan, Natalie, Logan, Elizabeth ("Bug") and six great-grandchildren. Carlen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lula May Barker; brother, Burel Brown, step-son DJ Macsko, and grand-daughter Rakia.
Family and friends may call at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, with Pastor Jim Dittmar officiating.
Her burial will be held privately at the Howland Township Cemetery.
