CHAMPION - Catherine Marie
Damon, 91, of Clearview Lantern Suites died at 9:15 pm on
Wednesday May 1, 2013 at Windsor House of Champion.
She was born in Warren on February 11, 1922 the
daughter of George and Rose (Holtsberry) Rausch and lived in
Trumbull County most of her life.
In the 1940's, she was an inspector at Packard
Electric for six years and later in life she worked for five years
as a custodian for Lordstown Village. She was a member of St.
Mary Church in Mineral Ridge, the church's Womens Guild, 55 Plus
Club, YWCA's Good Timers Club, Lordstown Senior Citizens, and
Chapter 57 of the CCC.
Catherine is survived by two sons, William
(Chris) Damon of Tallahassee, Florida, Kenneth F. (Barbara R.)
Damon of Warren; daughter, Rosemary (Daniel) Fisette of Gainsville,
Virginia; two grandsons, Ken Damon, Andrew Damon and two step-
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George
Ashley Damon whom she married on November 12, 1941 and who died on
July 18, 1998.
Calling Hours will be Friday, May 3, 2013 from 5
to 7 pm and Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 9 to 9:45 am at the
Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will
follow on Saturday, at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Church. Rev.
Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant. Burial will be in
Lordstown Cemetery.
