Charles E. Mckenney

NILES - Charles E. McKenney, 76, passed away peacefully at 11:31 a.m. on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Chuck was born in Warren, Ohio on June 11, 1942 the son of Anthony and Ina (Hunter) McKenney and lived in this community his entire life. He retired from the shipping department in 2010 after working over 45 years as a steelworker at Trinity Industries (Syro Steel) in Girard. Chuck believed in the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. He was a fan of The Ohio State University Sports teams, the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all he cherished the time spent at their camp grounds. He loved the fun of camping, visiting with grandchildren, riding the golfcart with his dog and listening to the ball games. Chuck is survived by his wife Barbara K. (Hillier) McKenney whom he married on August 25, 1962; son, Michael C. McKenney; two daughters, Michele K. (James) Petrilla, Jennifer L. (Dwight) Moore all of Niles; eleven grandchildren, John, Matthew, Joseph, Megan, Kasarah, Julie, Chelsea, Patience, Taylor, Kenzie, Abigail and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Michelle L. (Elbon) McKenney. Calling Hours will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Darrell Cline of the Evening Light Apostolic Church will officiate.
