McDONALD - Clester "Bob" Dean Sr., 81, passed away surrounded by his loving family at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday September 16, 2018 at the Northside Medical Center. Clester was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on October 10, 1936 the son of William Estell and Ukie Mae (Hall) Dean. He was a member of the Evening Light Apostolic Church and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He enjoyed caring for his miniature horses. He worked at Wade and Gatten Nursery in Mansfield for nine years, Duncan Landscaping in Vienna for fourteen years and Reed Environmental in Hubbard for ten years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Mae (Clover) Dean whom he married on July 11, 1975; three sons, Clester (Amy) Dean Jr., Daniel (Heather) Dean, Robert (Marcie) Dean all of McDonald; step-daughter whom they raised, Martha "DeeDee" Layton of Niles; eight sisters, Phyllis (David) Conn of McDonald, Ritha (John) Johnson of McDonald, Fern Davis of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Hazel Brewster of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Sally Stone of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Jeanette Berryman of McDonald, Marcella (Fred) Harvey of McDonald, Brenda (Roy) Davis of McDonald; three brothers, Franklin (Pat) Dean of Vienna, William Dean of McDonald, James (Phyllis) Stone of Olive Hill, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Marie and sister, Lorraine. Calling Hours will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
