Connie Ann Brandt , 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, May 25, 2025 at her home with her family at her side following a long battle with cancer. Connie was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 30, 1966 the daughter of Robert K. and Verneen E. (Welch) O'Neil and has lived in this area all her life.
Connie was a 1984 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a member of Saint Pope John XXIII - Saint Stephen Church. Connie was active at Saint Stephen Church and School, she was a teacher for Vacation Bible School, the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) program and the afterschool program. She was a member of the Niles Catholic Womens Club and for many years, she was the caregiver to her mother who lived with her. Connie loved her sports cars and enjoyed riding the Harley Motorcycle with her husband, Erik along with gardening around her home. She maintained a very positive Christian attitude even when life was difficult.
Connie is survived by her husband, Erik Brandt whom she married August 24, 2001; two daughters, Shannon (Jacob) Danes of Austintown, Rachel Tarr and Evan Landgraff of Niles; son, Christopher Brandt and Allyssa Micsky of Niles; mother, Verneen O'Neil of Niles; sister, Patti (Rodney) Remsey of Howland; niece, Rileigh Remsey.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday May 29, 2025 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 30, 2025 at Saint Stephen Church preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Rev. Bala Marneni will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Girard City Cemetery.
