Connie Ellen Hake , 72, passed away peacefully on Friday morning May 30, 2025 at the Hospice House, following a courageous three year battle with cancer. Connie was born in Warren, Ohio on October 20, 1952 the daughter of Randall Larman and Jo Ann (Ring) Hake.

Connie was born and raised in Niles, was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish - Saint Stephen Church. She attended Saint Stephen Catholic School and graduated from John K. Kennedy High School. She furthered her education at Youngstown State University, University of Central Florida and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education with concentration in psychology from Barry University, Miami, Florida. Connie began her years of teaching in 1981 at the Morning Star Catholic School in Orlando, Florida. She returned back to Niles to help care for her parents and resumed her teaching career at Saint Stephen School in 2006. She retired from teaching in 2016 following 31 years of dedicated service to the catholic school systems. In recent years she was a member of the Niles Catholic Womens Club, Eucharistic Minister to the sick and homebound, CCD teacher and collection money counter. She volunteered for the Saint Vincent dePaul Society and Vacation Bible School at Saint Stephen Church.

Connie is survived by her sister, Mary Jo (Ernie) Bokone of Grabill, Indiana; four brothers, Paul (Rhonda) Hake of Niles, Chris Hake of Warren, Charles "Chuck" Hake of Farmdale, Kevin (Gina) Hake of Girard; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hake of Howland; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and many longtime friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Randall J. "Randy" Hake and sister in law Tammie Hake.

Calling hours are from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will 11:00 a.m. at Saint Stephen Church on Wednesday June 4, 2025. The Rev. Bala Marneni and Rev. Richard Murphy will be the celebrants. Burial will be with her parents in Saint Stephen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Stephen Church or St. Vincent dePaul Society of Saint Stephen Church.
