Daniel A. Davies

NILES - Daniel A. Davies, 53, died at 1:43am, Monday, July 28, 2014 at the St. Joseph Health Center emergency room following a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Warren, Ohio on November 17, 1960 the son of Charles and Clarice (Volkert) Davies and lived in this area all his life. He attended Niles McKinley High School and was employed for several years at Floyd Roofing Company. He enjoyed fishing and telling jokes at family gatherings. He was an avid pool player and of the Methodist faith. Daniel is survived by his fiancee Shelly Maggiano with whom he lived; step-daughter, Carolynn Thomas at home; son, Nick Anderson of Warren; two grandchildren; mother, Clarice Davies of Warren; sister, Cora Jo Williamson of Warren; brother, William K. Clark of Niles; sister, Robin Lee (Morris Morris) Clark of Boardman; brother, John Henry (Cynthia) Davies of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Services will be private.
