David C. Romesberg

NILES - David C. Romesberg, 59, passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Thursday November 1, 2018 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center. He was born in Somerset, Pennsylvania on December 11, 1958 the son of David L. and Louella C. (Judy) Romesberg. Dave was raised in Rockwood, Pennsylvania, moved to Ohio as a teenager and graduated from Niles McKinley High School. He retired in 2009 after working 33 years as a tow motor operator at General Motors in Lordstown. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was an avid Notre Dame Fan. Dave is survived by his wife Mary (Babuka) Romesberg whom he married on November 18, 2010; mother, Louella C. Romesberg of Bradenton, Florida; two sons, Joe (Raynel) Ashburn of Cortland, Eric (Nicole) Ashburn of Salem; four grandchildren, Christopher, Alyssa, Olivia, Ava; two brothers, Todd Romesberg of Vienna, Joe (Cheryl) Romesberg of Niles; two sisters, Cindy Svonavec of Bradenton, Florida, Julie (Bill) Mullen of Columbus; five nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lori J. (Disko) Romesberg who died on July 21, 2006; son, Michael David Romesberg who died February 26, 1994 and his father who died April 19, 2001. Calling hours will be Saturday November 3, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday November 5, 2018 in Niles City Cemetery.
