David E. Williams

April 30, 1932 — June 8, 2014

LORDSTOWN - David E. Williams, 82, passed away on Sunday morning June 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Warren on April 30, 1932 the son of Harry "Huddy" and Sadie Williams and lived in this community most of his life. He was a 1950 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorable served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Nevada during the period of history of the atomic bomb testing. He retired in 1987 as a member of Teamsters Local #377 and driving for Dworkin Trucking in Cleveland. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Niles, former member of the Lordstown Lion Club and enjoyed fishing, John Wayne movies and his dog "Mindi and cat "Squirt". David is survived by his wife Peggy (Mann) Williams whom he married on July 3, 1956; son, Mark Williams and fiancee Cathy of Newton Falls; two daughters, Karen (Donald) Mullenax of Warren, Nancy (Adam Jr.) Frederick of Niles; six grandchildren, Eric Williams, Cory Williams, Jenna Frederick, Jordan Frederick, (twins) Hailey and Hannah Frederick. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Niles where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Pastor David Burman Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Lordstown Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Niles Building Fund, 26 East Church Street, Niles, Ohio 44446
