Donald R. Bernard Jr.

Donald R. Bernard Jr. , 49, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon January 27, 2024 at the emergency room at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 1, 1974 the son of Donald R. and Yvonne (Glover) Bernard Sr.

Donnie attended Niles City Schools and was working for over twenty years in various departments at Sharon Sanitary Authority. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers, tractors and anything with a small engine with his "Small Engine Queen Hollie". He also loved to cook (which he was great at) and listening to classic rock. Most of all, Donnie cherished the time spent with his wife, Hollie and their two wonderful children, Zoie (13 years old) and Anthony (8 years old) and family pets.

Donnie is survived by his wife Hollie Clark Bernard whom he married on May 4, 2002; daughter, Zoie Bernard; son, Anthony Bernard all at home; mother, Yvonne (David) Ryan of Canfield; two sisters, Mary (Sam) Barker of Canfield, Missy (Dave) Smith of Canfield; brother, Mark (Carol) Barnett of Miami, Florida and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Bernard Sr. who died March 15, 2014.

Calling Hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday February 3, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to Donnie's children's education.
