Donald F. Rapp

Donald F. Rapp , 87, passed away at 9:06 a.m. on Friday May 24, 2024 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. He was born in Clarion, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1936 the son of Frederick and Maryellen (Martin) Rapp.

Donald was a member of the Teamsters Local 377 and drove truck for 36 years for Tauro Bros. Trucking. He was also a member of the Meander Aerie FOE #3298 of Austintown and the Moose Lodge 1012 of Cortland. In retirement he enjoyed just "tinkering around", tending to the yard and mowing his grass. He loved the opportunity to go camping and make pies for the holidays. Never baking just one, he always made several and shared with family and friends.

Don is survived by three daughters, Linda (Robert) Stewart of Girard, Denise (Rick) Lemley of Mineral Ridge, Tammie (John) Peplowski of Hubbard; son, Donald F. Rapp Jr. of Warren; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Zachary) Komives, Nathan (Rachel) Stewart, Andrew (Lauren) Lemley, Matthew (Jennifer) Lemley, Jessica (Joseph) Mook, Ryan (Cailyn) Peplowski, Dylan Peplowski, Kelly Peplowski; and ten great grandchildren Ruger, Maevyn, Salem, Ethan, Emma, Kathryn, Ellis, Logan, Wesley, Maya. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise A. (Snyder) Rapp whom he married on August 23, 1958 and who died on December 5, 2014; an Infant son and two sisters, Mary Louise Banner and Romaine Rapp.

Calling Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday May 29, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. The Funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Ron Blakeman will officiate. Burial will be Thursday May 30, 2024 in Kerr Cemetery.
