Donna Jean (Carpenter) Mayer

Donna Jean Mayer , 73, passed away on Sunday morning September 1, 2024 at her home. She was born in Warren, Ohio on March 1, 1951 the daughter of Leroy and Georgia (Cline) Carpenter.

She was a 1969 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and retired in 2001 after faithfully working 30 years at Packard Electric. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Warren and enjoyed caring and raising rescue dogs especially Basset Hounds.

Donna Jean is survived by her husband Donald R. Mayer Sr. whom she married on May 15, 1972; step-son, Donald R. Mayer Jr. of Warren; step-mother, Bertha Crank Carpenter of Niles; step-sister, Kathy (Don) Gadd of Niles; uncle & aunt, Thomas and Sandy Cline of Mineral Ridge. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert R. Carpenter and Jimmy Carpenter.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. The funeral will follow at noon. The Rev. Douglas Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
