Donna J. Villio

Donna J. Villio , 85, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 6:37 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman with her loving family at her side following a courageous three month battle with lung cancer.

She was born December 10, 1939 in Warren, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Shepherd Hilty and was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Donna furthered her education in clerical studies by attending Warren Business College.  She would go on to retire as a secretary with the Urban League.  Following retirement, Donna worked as a manager with Olan Mills Photography. Donna was a proud member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Warren, where she helped in cleaning the church.  She was a member of the Newton Falls SCOPE, was a former Cub Scout Mom and was past secretary of St. Stephen School PTA.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing Bingo.

Donna is survived by her children James (Dawn) Villio of Howland, Melinda “Mindy” (Charles) Gibson of Howland, and Thomas (Lori) Villio of Warren; by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by two daughters Anna Villio and Mary Alice Villio, a grandson Glenn Swift, a granddaughter Angel Marie Villio, and by two sisters and four brothers.

A Funeral service, with Pastor Arch D. McCune officiating, will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, 126 West Park Ave, Niles, Ohio 44446, where calling hours will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield Twp.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Donna’s name to Christ Memorial Baptist Church, 2711 Youngstown Road SE, Warren, Ohio 44484.
